The other thing i don’t like about this is the jar.
ORIGINS NEVER A DULL MOMENT SEPHORA SKIN
it’s good for our humid country if you’ve got normal/combination skin (therefore, i cannot imagine how unhelpful the oil-free version of this moisturiser will be like) because you won’t feel the heaviness of this moisturiser, but if you’ve got underlying dry skin like i do, you might prefer something heavier. i’ve been told that i’ve got dry skin and this moisturiser is definitely not thick enough as i see cracks in my make-up about 4 hours after application (con). Was this moisturiser useful? honestly, i don’t think so. but after i got used to the scent, it was marginally more acceptable. when i put this on for the first time, i could smell the moisturiser on my skin 30 minutes after application and it almost made me quite nauseous. However, one thing i really abhor about this moisturiser is the scent (con). i can’t explain the texture without you trying it, so my description might not be very accurate.

one thing this moisturiser is definitely not – creamy. i’m not sure if you can tell from the picture above how light and un-creamy this moisturiser is. because it’s so smooth, a small amount seem to go a long way as your fingers glide onto your skin with application (pro). the texture of this moisturiser is very light, it’s extremely smooth and it very easy to put on (pro). i’ve been using it for more than 6 months now and i use it only in the mornings after a serum. This 60ml jar is a good size for me to decide whether i’ll repurchase it again. however, this review is mainly for hope in a jar, which i have a love-hate relationship with. i’m almost done with my 480ml purity cleanser too, which i use every night to get rid of make up.

in this value set, i received a 60ml hope in a jar, together with more purity cleanser & retinol night treatment. I bought this moisturiser in a set from and it was alot cheaper than purchasing it from sephora singapore. i purchased purity cleanser (which alot of people swear by) and then purchased hope in a jar, their bestselling moisturiser, after testing it out at sephora 3 times before purchasing it. last year, i was intrigued by philosophy’s products, mostly liking their whole marketing + packaging outlook. This is probably one of the rare non-asian skincare item in my skincare routine. also, i don’t think i will be trying their other range of products anytime soon. but it doesn’t matter to me because it didn’t get the basic right – to remove makeup thoroughly, yet alone stubborn ones. I guess the only saving grace was this product is scentless. i’m not even talking about long wear bb creams. i don’t use really heavy make up, just some bb cream in the morning and that’s it. i’ve read a few great reviews on this item, but am quite bummed it failed for me. I’m surprised really, that this product disappointed me. Secondly, my make up isn’t thoroughly removed because i end up having bb cream on my clarisonic (it has never happened with previous oil cleansers) and my toner on the cotton pad always comes back yellow even after two wipes. usually, one toner filled cotton pad sufficed with removing all remaining make up. this cleanser doesn’t ‘melt’ my makeup, unlike other japanese oil cleansers (i.e.: biore and dhc cleansing oil) which i particularly like. or maybe, i’ve got high expectations for this makeup remover as my previous makeup remover, biore jelly makeup remover, spoilt me rotten.įirstly, i wouldn’t akin the consistency of this product as a gel but rather something in between a gel and a cream. because it does not thoroughly remove bb cream.
ORIGINS NEVER A DULL MOMENT SEPHORA FREE
This cleanser is meant to remove waterproof makeup, BB cream and sunblock and it also states that this oil free cleansing gel thoroughly remove stubborn waterproof makeup and sunscreen for all skin types. but i do know they use organic ingredients for their products. i don’t know much about CNP laboratory but it sure sounds like it has this huge r&d centre with thousands of dermatologists. I’d heard one youtuber raved about CNP laboratory products and thought this cleanser was a great start to try the brand out, because i mean, if your cleanser sucks, there’s a high possibility that the other products might not turn out well, since cleansers are really not that difficult to get wrong. I received this in one of the monthly memebox (i can’t remember which at the moment) and was thrilled to receive it.
